How might we design for XR in a critical, intentional, and human-centered way?

In the Designing for Extended Realities course, you'll acquire the skills and knowledge to design extended reality (XR) in a critical, intentional, and human-centered way. You'll explore and experiment with state-of-the-art XR technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and the metaverse. Through practices of design thinking, rapid prototyping, and critical discussions, you'll gain an understanding of how to leverage XR technology to create real value for people and society.

By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge necessary to become a responsible and innovative creator, practitioner, or entrepreneur in the ever-evolving world of extended reality.

Engage, collaborate, and draw inspiration from leading thinkers, builders, and designers in XR from industry

During the course, you will receive guidance from world-class XR experts from Meta, Unity, IDEO, and more, including product designers, product managers, engineers, and XR instructors. They will assist you in identifying problems, defining project objectives, and providing advice at each stage of the project. This encompasses everything from prototype creation to the visualization of final solutions and the crafting of engaging product narratives. Engaging with these experts not only enriches your knowledge but also fosters professional relationships that may open up future opportunities.
