🚀 Course Overview

Introduction

Designing for Extended Realities is a course that equips students with the skills and knowledge to design extended reality (XR) in a critical, intentional, and human-centered way. Students will explore and experiment with state-of-the-art XR technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality, and the metaverse. Through the practices of design thinking, rapid prototyping, and critical discussions, students will gain an understanding of how to leverage XR technology to create real value for people and society.

“The only way to experience an experience is to experience it.”

By the end of the course, students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to become responsible and innovative creators, practitioners, or entrepreneurs in the ever-evolving world of extended reality. Partnership with industry will help students to ground their work in practical industry applications and make their transition into the professional world easier.
