Welcome! In order to dive into the immersive world of XR, you'll need to set up your Meta Quest 3 properly. Here’s a comprehensive guide to get you started:

Before Turning On the Headset:

1. Fully charge the headset using the power adapter and charging cable.
2. Download the Meta Quest app on your phone from either the Google Play or Apple App store.
   1. Make sure Bluetooth is on and sharing with nearby devices turned on.
3. Open the mobile app and log in or create a new account.
4. Once you’ve logged in, navigate to Menu > Devices.
5. The app should now automatically pair with your headset and controllers. If the app does not automatically pair:
   1. Put on your headset and look for a 5-digit pairing code.
   2. In the mobile app, enter the 5-digit code from your headset.
   3. Once the code is entered, your headset should start pairing with the app.

Turning On the Headset:

1. Remove the paper from your headset strap and remove the lens film.
2. Press and hold the power button the left side of the headset for three seconds to turn on your headset.
3. Remove battery blocker from each controller.
4. Turn on your controllers by pressing and holding buttons on both controllers until you see a blinking white light and feel a haptic response.
5. Progress through the tutorial including choosing a language.
6. Connect to Wi-Fi.
   1. Connect to “Stanford Visitor.”
   2. Click “Accept.”
7. Download and install all necessary software (which can take up to 2 hours!).
   1. Connect your headset to a charger before doing any software updates.
